WE REFUSE TO SELL THIS JUNK
In our product tour video on
our link we go into great detail explaining all the defects
and problems with these units. We tested a dozen of them
from different sources.
1.
They are oversized and very
conspicuous
2.
They all have the mode
indicator led light at the top of the pen and it
conspicuously flashes during the recording
3.
The threads are poorly
milled, the top and bottom sections fall apart
4.
The lenses, pcb (printed
circuit board) and batteries are made from the cheapest
substitutes available (polymer, not Lithium-ion)
5.
The recorded video has
"scratchy" lines and objects and colors are distorted.
6.
The audio will intermittently
have "quacking sounds"
7.
Nearly one third of the units
we tested never worked out of the box. (the batteries
are dead)
8.
Of those that did, ALL of
them failed to work properly.
9.
"Jamming" of files (renders
the unit inoperable) is the most common problem. The
finished video can not be saved and is lost
forever.
10. The
advertised specs are all false (or deliberate lies)
11. Recording
times are listed as 2hrs, 4hrs, 8hrs etc.,
This is false
12. Recording
time is "power on time". This
is governed by the battery
power not the memory.
13. The
maximum power on time of all the units we tested was 40
minutes. After
repeated videos and recharging this dropped to 20 minutes.
(the result of 4-5 yr old batteries)
14. The instructions you WILL
receive with these cheap units is a tiny manual written in
very poor English by the Chinese factory. You will NEVER be
able to understand it and either can the wholesale sites
that sell these junk spy pens. They never open the boxes.
