RETURNS POLICY:
SECURITYSYSTEMS.COM is 100% in compliance with PayPal and
all credit card processors as we clearly
and unequivocally spell out our RETURN POLICY
in easy to understand language so
there are no misunderstandings. Any questions,
disagreements or issues concerning a return can be quickly
resolved by referring to this policy. Unlike most
on-line vendors SecuritySystems.com provides a plethora of
information, text, FAQ’S, pictures, videos and professional
phone support to assist a buyer in deciding if the product(s)
meets their needs or qualifies for the application they’re
looking for. As a result our returns average less than 2%.
Despite all these efforts returns are typically from folks
that failed to read or misunderstood the product
description. I.e., “I’d like to return the Safe Home Covert Camera (SHCC1)
Capture Camera as it does not record video in the dark”.
Had they taken the time to read the FAQ’s they would’ve
known this beforehand. Additionally there are always people
that make random or impulsive purchases and routinely return
products. We understand and accept this in the course of
doing business and immediately refund their money.
RETURN POLICY ON INDIVIDUAL
PRODUCTS:
Safe Home Covert Camera:
SecuritySystems.com is the ONLY on-line vendor
that offers a return policy on this product. If for
any reason you are not happy we will gladly
refund your purchase price.
The
following terms are STRICTLY applied:
- You
must return the product to us within 30 days
from the date you purchased it.
Allowing the grossly exaggerated time of 20 days for
shipping both ways you have at least 10 days to try out
the camera. More realistically you have 20 days
to experiment with the camera to determine if you want
to keep it. This is a very fair time period to
experiment with the camera.
- As
an on-line vendor we are not the manufacturer of this
product and each unit is individually packaged in its
own box with unique packaging material. We DO
NOT stock boxes, packaging material, any parts or
manuals. As such any return must be in like new
condition, include all the parts, all the
original packaging material and the
included manuals. We can NOT accept
any return that does not comply with these stipulations
as we can not re-sell it. Our extremely low selling
price allows us a minimum profit margin and therefore we
can not absorb a return that does not meet our return
criteria. Similar to any purchase do not tear open
the box or discard the packaging material so if you
are not satisfied with the product it can easily be
repackaged and returned for a refund.
- The
box and the packaging material can not be torn,
ripped or damaged in any
way to indicate it as a returned item.
Manuals and warranty cards must be in un-used condition
and unmarked. To capsulate: Your returned
purchase must look exactly as it did when you received
it. This is not a difficult task. Opening the box,
removing the camera, the pwr supply, the rca cable and
reading the manual should not be any cause once
everything is put back to flag it as a returned item.
Upon receiving your return we can “refresh” the memory
and send it to another customer. The flash memory is
meant to be erased over and over again. ( See examples
below, how to properly return the Safe Home Covert Camera (SHCC1) unit.)

To Receive a refund: Call or e-mail
and tell us you have read our entire returns policy and
your return meets the requirements listed on this page.
Once you have contacted us we will issue you an RMA# to
return the product to us.
- If by phone or by e-mail we
will confirm that you have read our return policy and
ask you to confirm that your purchase meets the return
criteria and issue you the RMA #.
- The
most economical and our preferred method of returning a
product is the U.S. Postal Service;
Ship priority with a signature required. Ship to:
Audio Deterrent Systems; P.O. Box 131, Quincy,
MA 02170. Please package your return similar
to the way it was sent to you so as to prevent any
damage during shipping. Include a note with
your name, e-mail, phone and RMA # and briefly
why you’re returning your purchase.

When we receive the returned merchandise
in exact accordance with the above return
criteria we will refund your purchase price. If your
credit card was processed over the telephone your refund
will be minus the 3% processing fee charged by the
credit card processing company. (This
fee is what we are charged for processing your credit
card purchase and this is NOT returned to us
) If you purchased on-line through PayPal
your entire purchase price will be returned. You
are responsible for all S&H charges and they are not
refundable. Shipping and handling is not profit and can
not be recouped.

we can NOT accept any returns on the Safe Home Covert Camera (SHCC1)
usb adapter product
as it is heat sealed in the manufacturer’s hard plastic case
and once opened we could not re-sell this to any customer.
The Safe Home Covert Camera (SHCC1) Capture Camera is primarily viewed on a T.V.
Once you are happy with this product and wish to transfer
data to a PC, then and only then order the usb adapter.
This product is a straightforward device that performs a
clear and definitive function that is easily and clearly
understood by the purchaser. SecuritySystems.com is not a
retail store and can not absorb returns that we can not
re-sell nor do we have the capability to repackage this
device.* IF THE USB ADAPTER HAS
NEVER BEEN OPENED, CERTAINLY WE WILL REFUND YOUR MONEY.
Disclaimer of implied warranties including warranty of
merchantability:
Audio Deterrent Systems ("Vendor") Warrants, for the benefit
of customer only, that at the time of sale to the customer,
the equipment being sold is new. Audio Deterrent Systems
shall have no obligation to correct or otherwise remedy any
non-conformity or defect in the equipment, if (1) the
equipment is not properly installed in a suitable operating
environment; (2) the equipment is not properly maintained
and operated under normal conditions by qualified personnel;
(4) customer has not notified vendor promptly upon discovery
of any nonconformity or defect (or other breach). Under no
circumstance shall Vendor be liable to Customer for any loss
of profits, any incidental, special, exemplary, or
consequential damages, or any claims or demands brought
against Customer by any other party, even if Vendor has been
advised of the possibility of such claims or demands; and
this limitation is intended to apply to all Customers family
members, guests, invitees, and other visitors to the
Customers premises. Under no circumstance shall Vendor be
held liable for loss or damage that may incurred by the
Customer due to Fire, Burglary, or robbery where Vendor
products have been installed by the Customer and or his
agent nor from any damage caused by incorrect assembly,
misuse, purchaser modification, reimbursement for Customer
installation time or acts of God. The laws of the State of
Massachusetts shall govern all transactions between the
Customer and Vendor; and that any dispute or litigation with
respect to transaction shall take place exclusively in the
State of Massachusetts.
Audio Deterrent Systems itself offers no express or
implied warranties, including implied warranties of
merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose and will
not be responsible for any incidental, consequential, or
other damages. Provided, this limitation on warranties
and damages does not apply whenever such limitations are
precluded by law, including consumer protection legislation.
